Large Household Item Pickup (Included)

The second pickup of every month each resident can set out ONE large item at no charge. Please note that you do NOT need to contact our office prior to setting out the item. Please put it at the curb the first Friday of the month and someone will be by that day to pick it up.

Examples of large items that CAN be picked up include:

  • appliance
  • furniture
  • large electronics
  • basketball goal
  • barbecue grill
  • front door
  • push lawn mower
  • etc – please contact our office if you are unsure about your large item at (816) 204-1192

If you need to schedule an extra pickup in addition to your one large item a month, please contact the office or click the Special Pickup page to the left and fill out the contact form. Pricing examples as follows:

  • vehicle parts
  • tires
  • abandoned cars and car parts
  • whole trees
  • construction material
  • appliances with coolant

Household Hazardous Waste – Please feel free to utilize the Lee’s Summit Hazardous Waste Collection facility if you have any of the items listed in the chart for disposal.

Facility Accepts – automotive products, antifreeze, batteries (lead-acid and rechargeable only), fluorescent light bulbs (tube and CFL), fertilizers, flammables, fuels, hazardous cleaners, hazardous liquids, household cleaners, lawn and garden products, paint, pesticides, photographic chemicals, pool chemicals, solvents, thinners, used oil

Facility Does Not Accept – explosives, yard waste, commercial waste, pressurized gas cylinders, asbestos, tires, appliances, single-use batteries (AA, C cell, 9-volt, button, etc.)
