INFORMATION

Trash Pickup:

Please set your trash out either the night before your trash pickup day or by 7am the morning of your trash pickup day. Trash trucks are out on route from 7am to 7pm each day. Especially through the summer months, our drivers will be getting started early to beat the heat and may not always be by your house at the same time each week. There are a number of different delays that occur throughout the week causing trucks to run earlier or later each week. Please wait until 7pm before calling and leaving a message that your trash was not picked up. If your trash was missed, please call and leave a message with your name, address and phone number and either leave your trash out overnight or set your trash out the following morning. We will send someone by as soon as possible the following business day to pick it up.

**Please note that there will be a different trash truck for each pickup item – one truck for trash, one truck for recycling and one for yard waste. Your trash, recycling and yard waste will be picked up at different times throughout the day.

If you are going to exceed the 10 bag limit one week, don’t worry, just contact the office and discuss additional pickup options.

Special pickup is available for large items that would not fit into a garbage bag. Examples of items that would need a special pickup include:

  • Appliances (microwaves, washers/dryers, etc.)
  • Furniture (Tables, Chairs, TV’s, Mattress, etc.)
  • Carpet

For large item pickup, please contact Constable Rolloff Container’s at (816) 525-4123 for pricing or visit his website. He will come to your home and pickup large items at a very affordable rate.

Please remember that we cannot dispose of the following items:

  • Concrete
  • Paint
  • Automotive fluids
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Batteries
  • Fire extinguishers

You can contact Lee’s Summit Hazardous Waste Department at (816) 969-1800 to discuss drop off options.

Recycling:

If you have recycling with Constable Sanitation, please contact the office for a container or if you opt to use your own container, mark it RECYCLING so that the recycling driver knows that it is not part of your trash pickup.

Cardboard boxes can be recycled, please just make sure that they are broken down before setting them out next to your trash.

Yard Waste:

We have had a lot of questions about yard waste this year with the recent storm damage. Please note that general yard waste is meant for grass, leaves, small branches and limbs. If you have a full tree that needs to be removed from your yard, you will want to contact a tree removal service. We recommend MT Tree Service and they can be reached at (816) 537-0348.

Yard waste needs to either be placed in the brown yard waste compost bags or bundled together in 3 foot x 3 foot bundles. The bundles need to be tied together with twine or duct tape so that a trash hauler can lift the bundle arm’s length away from their chest, lift the bundle up to their chest and place it into the truck. Please remember that our weight limit is 50 pounds per bundle/bag.

If you are going to exceed the 10 bag/bundle limit one week, don’t worry, just contact the office and discuss additional pickup options.
